My First Job

Yes, it's true. I got my first job at 6 months of age! I was hired as a baby model for the new Target Baby catalog. I got placed as the "Hispanic" baby. I don't know what Hispanic means but now sometimes my parents laugh and call me Lucas Miguel instead of Lucas Michael. In exchange for my time and smiles they gave me something called money. I got 250 pieces of money for every hour and I worked for a little over an hour. My Dad didn't think that was fair because I guess he only got a few pieces of money per hour working really hard mowing lawns and stuff when he was a kid. I haven't actually seen this money yet so I don't know how fun it is or how good it tastes. Anyway, I modeled a Winnie-The-Pooh onesie with a matching hat. Here I am right before I went to the set.

Here I am on the set as the lady checks the lighting and poses me. Mommy is looking on.

They had this fancy monitor to look at all the pictures they took. I think that guy was in charge of checking the lighting. Sometimes he said "yer runnin' hot". What does that MEAN? That lady was in charge of my wardrobe.

Look at all those people surrounding me! There's the photographer, a lady in charge of wiping my drool and making sure the hat is on right, the other lady who tries to make me smile, and the other people that apparently hold up pieces of colored cardboard for a living.

Hard at work! Please don't drop the cardboard on my head sir.

Yer runnin' hot!
That's a little close to my head sir...

I really liked this lady. Her whole job was to play with me and make me smile for the camera. Sometimes she would move the toy to a different place just so I would turn my head!

They moved me on my back for awhile . . .

There were 15 people on the set! Fifteen! Just to take pictures of little me!
I took a break and got to stretch my legs.

We took some more pictures and then it was over! I thought it was really fun :)

I will post the real pictures as soon as they become available, and I'll let you know as soon as the Target catalog comes out.
