Hello, my name is Lucas Michael Melloh. I was born just over an hour ago at 10:43am. Apparently, I am a healthy baby boy although I am not very happy at the moment as I can't seem to stop crying. I weigh 6 pounds, 14 ounces and I'm 20 1/2 inches tall. My Dad will hopefully have time to send some pictures of me between diaper changes later today. My Mom is a little tired but quite happy about my "exceedingly smooth" birth. Thanks for all your nice thoughts and prayers!

Congratulations! It is the very coolest thing that can happen ... I can only imagine it's pretty magical for both of you. Can't wait to see pictures, and ... I must be ready to take this step myself soon. It certainly speaks to me in a way it didn't 5 years ago.
