An update on my Mom

Thanks for the all the fan mail. Many of you have asked about my favorite person in the whole world, my Mom (sorry Dad). Mom is recovering from her surgery quite nicely. Hopefully very soon she will be ready for a family picture.

It turns out I love to sleep...just like my parents! I basically slept all day. Above is a picture of me sleeping.

I did open my eyes a couple of times today, but not for the camera...even though my Dad took 200 pictures!

My Birth

Hello, my name is Lucas Michael Melloh. I was born just over an hour ago at 10:43am. Apparently, I am a healthy baby boy although I am not very happy at the moment as I can't seem to stop crying. I weigh 6 pounds, 14 ounces and I'm 20 1/2 inches tall. My Dad will hopefully have time to send some pictures of me between diaper changes later today. My Mom is a little tired but quite happy about my "exceedingly smooth" birth. Thanks for all your nice thoughts and prayers!
